Some people reading this book are offended by the language that Sherman Alexie uses. I feel like the way he writes is unique and very real. If people want to read a real book, then you might have to put up with some real things in life. He just puts things as they really are. He does make anything cutesy or try and cover anything. I find it almost refreshing that he isn't hiding anything. I like how he says exactly what he's thinking, and it comes off exactly like what a 14-year-old boy would say and do, so that's right on point!
You're saying exactly what I'm thinking. The writer has knack for this style of writing but that's probably cause its how he talks and acts(or at least how he used to act.) The best writers are the ones who use their own voice to bring their work to life.
